Our Hotel has the best conditions for your cat's stay, from spacious and individual suites, feline amusement park, ventilation, air conditioning and the specialized care of a Veterinarian Nurse.  The hotel has ambient music. Amusement parks are large, being enriched with scrapers, tunnels, toys and water fountains.  Our Hotel is authorized as accommodation by the DGAV – Direção geral de Alimentação e Veterinária, with the number PT 3 009 FL D.L. nº 276/2001, of October 17th.

Admission terms

O Cão Laranja undertakes to install pets, including cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, in appropriate facilities, during periods agreed with owners, providing them with proper care, including custody and feeding.

We are not responsible for cases of sudden death in apparently healthy animals on admission or in animals with chronic diseases.

The perfect hygiene and sanity of our space is a constant concern.

We pride ourselves on providing a personalized service and a permanently attentive look at your pet's welfare.

The facilities are individual and maintained in the best sanitary conditions. The supplied food is always Super Premium quality of the marketed in our store. This is optional, the customer can bring their pet's food, however, this option does not entail a discount in the daily.

We never put together cats from different owners, neither in the suites nor at the amusement parks.

One of our greatest concerns is the welfare of your animal. For this reason, animals of any kind that do not look healthy or do not have their vaccination report up-to-date as well as the internal and external dewormings are not allowed.

Annual Vaccines - Cats - (Respiratory herpesvirosis, infectious rhinotracheitis or calcivirosis, infectious panleucopenia).

Rabbits and Guinea Pigs - vaccination plan up to date.

The internal and external deworming should be up to date. Internal Deworming is carried out from 3-3 months or 4-4 months, according to your veterinarian's advice.

Young cats (2-6 months) - Young cats are admitted when they have fulfilled the Primovacination which is carried out with two vaccine reinforcements spaced apart for a period of 3 weeks as well as deworming.

The last reinforcement must have been administered at least 15 days prior to admission to the hotel.

External deworming should be done monthly (spot on). Ideally it should be done already from home.

In case of necessity we can do it when the animal is admitted, this represents an extra value (the value of the spot on used).

Keep in mind that even if your cat is a pet, it can become a carrier of fleas if it does not comply with its proper external deworming.

We are not responsible if an animal becomes infested if it does not comply with this criterion.

Having the external worming in the day in all the animals allows the perfect salubrity of our space.

If fleas are detected in the animal, we will resort to the appropriate external deworming, the value of which is later billed.

Any recent disease or chronic disease that the animal bears must be reported on the date of entry.

Animals with infectious diseases are not accepted, particularly in the case of cats, FIV/FELV Positive.

In case the animal does some medication, the owner must bring the prescription of the assistant veterinarian to prove this fact and the medication for the agreed days.

The amounts to be charged daily refer exclusively to lodging and meals.

The Owner undertakes to provide correctly all the information necessary to fill out the client form, as well as to prove his / her identity and address.

It also undertakes to inform O Cão Laranja of any relevant changes, without concealing any health or behavioral problems of your animal, and freely accept the points referred to herein.

The low season is considered throughout the year except for the Easter period (March 26 to April 3) the summer period (June 21 to September 22) Christmas and New Year period (December 15 to January 6) being these dates considered high season.

Given that the maximum number of cats per suite is 3 cats (provided they are the same owner and have a peaceful relationship between them)

Daily stay high season

1 Cat- 14 Euros / 2 Cats - 22 Euros / 3 Cats - 30 Euros

Stays longer than 15 days have 5% discount. In the event that the client requests more days of stay for his animal in addition to the reserved one, it is considered a new stay, there being no accumulation of days, and there is no discount, unless this new stay is more than 15 days. This discount is not cumulative with our partnerships.

Reservation of stay - How to Proceed:

The reservation of the stay can be made in person at our establishment or by telephone. If you choose to do so by telephone we will give you our IBAN (PT50 0035 0679 00013797230 82) da Caixa Geral de Depósitos, to which you must transfer. As soon as you make a payment, you must send us the corresponding document so that your reservation can be made and provide us with your billing information so we can send you the respective receipt.

The reservation is subject to the prepayment of 50% of the total estimated value for the stay - In case of cancellation of the stay the amount paid in advance will not be refunded. The rest (50%) will be paid upon admission of the animal.

Minimum stay

We ask that you keep in mind the number of days agreed and that any variation therefore is always subject to availability especially in the high season months.

During High Season we do not accept reservations for stays of less than 7 days, at Easter and at Christmas, only stays from 5 days are accepted.

In low season the minimum number of accepted days is 3 days.

Extras to the price of stay:

There are other optional services that are considered extra to stay, namely: baths and Grooming, which will only be provided by express indication of the owner and will be charged at the end of the stay.

Veterinary Nursing care namely administering medication or any other act are taxed separately from the Stay.

Medication administration: In addition to the value of the stay.

Other procedures: For any other extra situation mentioned above please contact us.

Keep in mind that animals with a very difficult temperament and / or that make it difficult to take medication can not be held responsible for their taking them.

All procedures that require medical-veterinary intervention will always be charged separately, not included in the agreed value for the stay.

The rates to be charged for the stay are daily, count from 10AM on the day of arrival until 8PM on the day of departure.

If the owner for any reason other than our services decides to raise the animal before the agreed period, there is no refund of the amounts paid.

The choice of suites is made according to the availability of the suites and the number of animals to be housed. The distribution of the animals belongs to us.

O Cão Laranja is not responsible for any diseases that the animal suffers or will suffer during or after the period of stay.

In case of a relevant change in the health of the animal O Cão Laranja undertakes to notify the owner or his representative.

Not being possible contact and having urgency O Cão Laranja will provide the veterinary accompaniment of the animal that will vary according to the seriousness of the situation.

Please note that all expenses incurred in these circumstances will be billed to the owner.

In case of need of intervention of the assistant veterinarian this is not included in the daily rate.

Failure to raise the pet at the end of the stay without prior notice implies a 100% price increase on the additional days.

The Orange Dog reserves the right of retention of the animal hosted at the end of the stay while the amounts in debt are not paid.

If there is no contact from the owner to pick up the animal at the end of the agreed period, O Cão Laranja will notify you. If the animal is not lifted within fifteen days of notification, O Cão Laranja shall have the right to take such legal measures as it deems necessary.

During the Christmas and New Year period, check-in and check-out on 12/24 and 12/31 are from 9:00 AM until 13:00 PM.

There are no entries or exits on 25/12 and 01/01.

Visiting time

We are always available for you to visit our facilities. You can do it within our public service hours during low season months: Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Rodents Stay

We also receive small animals (rabbits and guinea pigs)

The values to be considered in low season are: 7 euros / day per animal with feed, hay and cage substrate.

The values to be considered in high season are: 9 euros / day per animal.

For owners with 2 or more animals, we have special advantages: the second animal and from this has a 50% discount on the daily of the respective animal.


Hotel Cleanliness and Disinfection

Our space is sanitized daily with the use of detergent and disinfectant products suitable for animal housing. Cleaning of floors, surfaces and gravels is done daily. Litter is cleaned in the morning and at the end of the day to collect waste. In this way we keep the same clean and avoid the bad smells. It is completely poured, washed, disinfected and new sandstone response weekly. We have a laundry service, whenever an animal leaves all the blankets and cushions used by the same are washed and dried at high temperatures in order to keep them properly cleaned. The feeders and drinking troughs used are properly cleaned and sanitized as well as the litter boxes used. Never under any circumstances can such utensils be made available to another animal without proper disinfection.
